I converted to organic gardneing when I was living in San Antonio and listening to Bob Webster's gardening show on KTSA. Some of his frequent guests were Howard Garrett and Malcolm Beck. After seeing the benefits of organic gardening both in in my lawn and vegetables I knew for sure this is the way mother nature intended. I kept practicing the organic method when I was stationed in Guam and continue to do so here in Washington DC. Tomatoes that I would buy in the commissary would turn into a gelatinous goo on my counter while the ones I grew stayed fresh for weeks.
